Maryland Legislature Reauthorizes BOOST Scholarship Program for Students to Attend Nonpublic Schools!

The Maryland General Assembly has reauthorized the BOOST Scholarship Program for the 2018-2019 school year. The State of Maryland will be giving an additional $1.5 million extra toward scholarships for the upcoming school year, for a total of $7.6 million in scholarship awards! It is likely that many new scholarships will be awarded.

BOOST provides tuition assistance scholarships to income-eligible students to help them attend the nonpublic school best fit for their educational needs. Additionally, for the 2018-2019 school year, higher scholarships will be awarded to students with special needs or to students seeking to transfer from a public school to a nonpublic school.

The 2018-2019 school year application through the State Department of Education is now available.

The application deadline for the 2018-19 school year will be May 21, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.
